What exactly are dentures?

Dentures are false teeth made from acrylic, metal, or nylon. They can be used to replace a full set of teeth, or for replacing single or a few missing teeth. Dentures are custom made to fit the size and shape of your mouth.

Why might I need dentures?

Dentures are used to replace missing teeth. They can help rectify any eating problems you may have due to missing teeth.
Our teeth and smiles are also connected to our sense of self and confidence, and a new set of dentures can really help bring confidence back to your smile.

What’s the difference between full and partial dentures?

Full dentures sit over the gums on a removable base, on top of which is your new set of acrylic teeth. Partial dentures will be attached to the teeth on either side of the missing teeth.

The base for partial dentures can be made from either metal or plastic, with metal being the stronger and lighter option.

We use partial dentures when you only have a single tooth or a few teeth missing, and they can also be used when waiting to have a bridge fitted.
